Playdate at Shelly Lake

We met up with playgroup at Shelly Lake park today and Jack, Maddie and Caleb were the only 3 there but they all had a blast playing together at the park and then going down by the lake to feed bread to the ducks!! It was so fun watching Jack tear off little pieces from the bread to feed to the ducks!! He had a blast doing this with his friends!!

Maddie's 2nd Birthday Party & Leo's Baptism Party

Jack and Mommy had a super busy afternoon. First we headed out to a fun park in Garner to help Jack's BFF celebrate her 2nd birthday with some friends at a Yo Gabba Gabba themed party. The kids played for an hour or so at the park running around playing and enjoying themselves. Then the party moved into the Nature Center where they got to play with some indoor toys, color, and have some yummy snacks followed by cupcakes which all the kiddos seemed to enjoy very much!! We are so glad we were able to celebrate Maddie's Birthday with her and a bunch of friends!! Then we left the birthday party to headed to Zebulon to Aly and Jim's house to celebrate their son Leo's Baptism with a cookout. Jack was excited to see his friends Jackson and Drew there and they had a blast having a picnic inside on the floor together and playing. All in all it was a great day and a lot of fun was had by Jack!! Here are just a few pictures from the day!!

Drew's 2nd Birthday Party

Mommy was out of town in Myrtle Beach for Aunt Courtney's Bachelorette Party weekend with a bunch of Courtney's friends so Daddy and Jack were home together!! Jack's Friend Drew turns 2 at the beginning of September and they had a birthday party for him at their house which included lots of fun activities in the backyard and pizza and cake. There was also an appearance made by Elmo and a Clown!! Jack was very excited about Elmo being there to sing songs and play with the kids.

Marbles on a Hot Day

Our A/C broke on a Friday afternoon so we spent most of the following week staying with Jay's parents because it was way too hot to stay in our house. The boys were ready to get out and do something so we took advantage of our membership at Marbles and went for a few hours! There are things there for both boys to do so its nice. They both had a blast!!

1st Bike Ride

Umpa had put the bike seat Rack on the Back of Daddy (Jay)'s bike so that Jack could go for a ride with Daddy. After we got home from the Beach on Saturday afternoon Daddy decided to give Mommy a break and take Jack for his first ever bike ride!! Jack was very excited about putting on his helmet and even more excited to get in the bike seat!

Andrew and Jackson's 2nd Birthday Party

Two of Jack's friends Drew and Jackson turned 2 in May and June so their parents threw them a joint 2nd birthday party at Drew's house with a Hotwheels theme. The kids enjoyed a yummy lunch and then played in the playroom and backyard for awhile and had a blast. When it got too warm outside they came inside for gifts where they all fell in love with the bubbles from Drew's bubble gun!! Then they had some yummy cake and played some more. After the party was over were were hanging out at the house and the guys decided to have a lil dad's night out and meet a few other "dad" friends, so Jack and i decided to hang with Stefanie, Drew, and Jacob for a bit and then our friend/Stef's sister Aly and her new lil guy Leo joined us too. Well Jack and I ended up being stuck there cuz Jay had the only set of keys so we hung out and ate dinner and the boys played together and had a blast and at one point Stef and Aly's mom Susan joined us too so we just hung out and snuggled the infants and played with the toddlers till the dad's got home!! We had a great time with some awesome friends celebrating birthdays!!

Visit to Charlotte to See Megan

Daddy (Jay) had plans to go to Atlanta, GA to see Peter, a friend from college and to try and get tickets to see Conan, so Mommy and Jack decided to go along for the ride and have daddy drop us in Charlotte to spend a few days with Megan and Ella. We had a blast while we were down there playing with Ella, taking Ella on walks, going to see Fran and the girls, going to a Fun Library in downtown Charlotte that had lots of fun things for Jack to play with. All in all it was a great trip except on Monday night Jack got sick with a stomach thing and spent the whole night getting sick. It broke my heart and i felt so bad for him. We pumped him with some pedialyte the next day and then later in the afternoon Jay came to get us and we headed home. We spent the next few days just hanging out at home and letting him recover. He was so pitiful!
