Fun with Holiday Greetings
So as the holidays draw near we are getting all things Christmas ready. We just had family pictures made last weekend by one of my really good friends Jenny (the mom of Jack's BFF Maddie) and I cant wait to use some of them to do our christmas cards. So many people do photo cards which is a great way to show others how your family is growing and changing over the years and Shutterfly is a great place to order them from.
In years past I've designed the christmas cards myself but I'm planning to use shutterfly this year as they have some great layouts…just check them out for yourself here: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards
They have so many different picture themed gift ideas on their website so you should def. check them out. I have used shutterfly for photo books, calendars-see how you can make your own personalized calendars at this link: http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars
One of the cool things I had never really thought about are their Photo mugs: http://www.shutterfly.com/photo-gifts/photo-mugs
I also have the opportunity to get 50 free cards for blogging about them. Just check out this link! http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/

Trip to VA
My Best friend Jennifer lives in VA and her boyfriend Just finished building a beautiful house in June and we hadn't gotten the chance to make it up there yet to see them and the house between our busy summer and her starting a new job this summer so we planned it for November when things died down for her at work. Jack and I took the train up on a Saturday morning and got in that early evening and got to spend sometime with Aunt Ellen, Uncle Greg and Eric while Jen finished up at work. Jack had a blast wrestling with Greg and just playing with him. Then we spent the rest of the visit over at Eric and Jen's playing, watching tv, going to the park, lunch with Aunt Ellen, etc. Jack had a blast at Jen and Eric's and loved being sneaky and climbing up the stairs and just running around. His favorite was to run down the upstairs hallway right into their master bedroom to the big soaking tub and turning the bath water on...needless to say he had to have a bubble bath in there Sunday night!! It was great getting to spend some quality time with Jen and just hang out and enjoy each other's company. The train ride home was a long ride cuz the power on the inside didnt work so we had no air flow and the dvd player couldn't be plugged in but luckily Jack was a pretty easy traveler. When we got to Raleigh they took everyone off the train and were going to send people to their destinations by bus since they couldn't fix the power on the train. Luckily we were able to call Jay to come get us and take us home vs. boarding the bus to take us to the Cary Train Station.
