Raleigh Arboretum

Jack and Mommy met some other moms and babies from our playgroup at the Raleigh Arboretum to give the moms some chances to play around with our cameras and take some pictures of the kiddos. Here are a few pictures that I took of Jack and some of them were taken by some of the other moms as well.

Lazy Sunday Morning

After a busy day at the Zoo we had a lazy Sunday morning and Jack was just hanging out in his diaper and playing in his room and his new favorite thing is to rock himself in his glider.

Zoo Trip

Jack went on his first trip to the Zoo with Mommy and Daddy and we met Beth a friend from our mom's group and her daughter Emily and her husband Michael. We had a blast and Jack really enjoyed all of the animals and making all the different animal sounds. The weather was beautiful and because of that the weather there were a lot of people at the zoo but it helped that we got there early and started at the opposite side of the zoo and worked back towards our car. And now Ill leave you with a few pictures of the zoo trip.

Another Park Playdate

We have been trying to get out to Park Play dates as much as possible because Jack loves to be outside at the park and playing with his friends. We have a mom's group that we try and meet up with as much as we can to get the kiddos out doing things. We love this particular park because its a Tot Size park so the play equipment is geared towards toddlers so its really easy for them to climb on.

Playing in the Yard

Jack LOVES to play in the backyard in his Log Cabin, sandbox, Swing, and run around the yard playing with balls! We spend quite a bit of time out there during the day and some afternoons/evenings especially when we decide to grill out. We also babysat for a lil 3.5 yr old boy for 3 weeks and the boys had a blast playing outside together on the nice days. Jack loves to play by himself or with Sean. Once it gets a lil more consistently warmer we will pull out the pool for him to play and splash in!!

18 Months Old!!

Jack Turned 18 months old on April 9th!! He continues to grow so fast and has started saying a lot more words. His favorite new ones are Cookie (for Cookie Monster), Car, Bubbles. He is really blossoming the past month or 2 and has sort of had a word explosion I feel...he tries to mimic or repeat anything we say to him...its quite cute!(yes i know im biased). He's really obsessed with waving and say bye bye or bye ya to everyone he passes and loves it when he gets a response. We have been keeping busy with getting him outside in the yard or to parks as much as possible because this child loves to Run and Climb anything an everything...he is constantly GO GO GO!! I still cant believe its only 6 months till he turns 2!! Here are 2 pictures I took the day he was 18 months. Jack had his 18 month appt. and the doctor said he's developing right on or above where he should be so we are moving along. He weighed in at 22 lbs and 8 oz. and is finally about the 5th percentile for weight!! He's about 32" tall (between the 25th and 50th percentile) for height!

Park Playdate

Mommy and Jack met our friends Jenny/Maddie & Rachel/Liam at the park for a playdate. The kids had a blast running around the field next to the playground and also playing on the playground itself as its a toddler size playground which is perfect for the lil ones!! We always have a blast at the park with friends and the kids play great together!! Here are a few pictures we snapped of them playing. They have such fun little personalities!!

Camping

Jay's Parents invited us to join them camping at a campground at Jordan Lake which is about a 20 minute drive from our house. Mommy, Jack and Sean joined Nana and Umpa on Thursday around 3ish and we spent Thursday afternoon/evening setting up the campsite and tents, walking around the campgrounds and Sean and Umpa went Kayaking. Going to bed that night proved to be just as interesting as expected because both boys were hyper and kept giggling when trying to settle down but they finally did and slept great. Friday morning Daddy joined us down there at breakfast and we spend the day hanging out by the Shore of the lake while Allen Kayaked and the boys all fished. It was beautiful outside and nice to just relax and watch the boats out on the water. Sean headed to his mom's friday afternoon and then Aunt Megan joined us at the campground for spaghetti dinner (it was good friday) and smores! Saturday we packed up the campsite and tents after breakfast. All in All Jack had a blast on the camping trip with having free reign of the 2 sites we were set up on and getting to play with sticks and rocks! He def. loves being outdoors!! I will add pictures soon but they are not on my camera!!
